GLADE Project: Bottom Hole Assembly Summary Data for GLADE East and GLADE West Wells
Two ZIP files include Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA) summary data and results for both GLADE East and GLADE West wells in the DJ Basin, Colorado. Files contain bit photos, BHA assembly info, and where available post-run reports or logs for each run in each well. Data is separated into folders for Surface, Intermediate, and Production (shallowest to deepest) for each well. Raw (Electronic Drilling Recorder) EDR data are contained within a separate data upload to Geothermal Data Repository for the GLADE project which is linked in the resources section here.
The Geothermal Limitless Approach to Drilling Efficiencies (GLADE) project was undertaken in Denver-Julesburg (DJ) Basin Colorado to evaluate whether advanced oil and gas drilling practices could be adapted to improve geothermal well construction in deep, hot, hard-rock environments. Funded by the U.S. Department of Energy Geothermal Technologies Office and executed by Oxy, the project focused on drilling two deep wells, GLADE West and GLADE East, through the sedimentary section and into Precambrian granitic basement.
