Buildings Standard Scenarios
The Buildings Standard Scenarios dataset projects a range of energy futures for the U.S. buildings sector through 2050, considering plausible developments in the deployment of energy efficient equipment, load electrification, and building retrofits. Projections are developed by combining the capabilities of the ResStock, ComStock, and Scout buildings sector modeling tools. Results are presented at various levels of aggregation that range from the annual and national levels to the hourly and county levels. The data?s extensive spatiotemporal scope and high degree of spatiotemporal granularity support many potential use cases, ranging from national-scale target setting and roadmap development to utility-scale planning exercises.
