Residential Loads May 2, 2016
Power measurements for various residential appliances in the System Performance Lab (SPL) in the Energy System Integration Facility (ESIF). This data set was collected as part of a project evaluating a new type of power meter that can reduce the cost of submetering many circuits in a building (data from sensors being evaluated are not included in this data set).
SPL contains three homes, each with a set of major appliances and outlets for minor appliances and electronics. Every circuit has a dedicated power meter. The lab can be used for a range of different types of projects, such as evaluating innovative sensors and controls, investigating the performance of home energy management systems, looking at the impact of demand response programs on individual appliances, and integrating renewable generation and energy storage with residential buildings.
