Texas Tech Building Wake Field Experiment, Reese Technology Center / Averaged Data
**Overview**
This dataset contains sonic anemometer measurements around a building the size of a typical suburb home located at Texas Tech's Reese Technology Center. These data are intended to validate computer models.
**Data Details**
Stations 1-22 are sonic anemometers at a height of 2 m (Stations 1-12 are 3D sonics and 13-22 are 2D sonics). Stations 23-26 are on the upwind tower with heights of 2, 4, 6, and 8 m. Stations 27-34 are on the 3H and 6H towers with heights of 2, 4, 6, and 8 m.
**Uncertainty**
The 2D sonics have an uncertainty of ±2% for the wind speed and ±3% for the wind direction.
The 3D sonics range in uncertainty from ±0.01 m/s to ±0.08 m/s for the wind speed and from ±0.7 to ±1 degree for the wind direction.
