Data from USGS World Petroleum Assessment (2000)

In curation License

This is the supporting data for the USGS World Petroleum Assessment, published in 2000. The assessment is the result of a five year effort to estimate the quantities of conventional oil, gas, and natural gas liquids outside the US that have the potential to be added to the reserves in the 30-year period from 1995 to 2025. The data available in the tables here includes: (a) volumetric data of discovered petroleum; (b) information about the distributions of oil and gas field sizes; (c) information regarding known and grown volumes of petroleum; and (d) allocations of petroleum at the country level. Corresponding GIS data is also available (http://en.openei.org/datasets/dataset/spatial_data_from_usgs_world_petroleum_assessment__2000_).
