M3 Wave DMP/APEX WEC Downselected System Overviews
In 2014, open water testing revealed that sediment scour around and under the device was significant and likely interrupted operations. To explore methods to mitigate this phenomenon, M3 developed a number of alternate concepts as detailed in concept sketches. This submission includes a synopsis of initial system downselects and specifics on final candidates for the Delos-Reyes Morrow Pressure Device (DMP), commercialized by M3 Wave LLC as "APEX."
