NREL Power Technologies Energy Data Book (2006): Technology Profiles

In curation License

The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) publishes a wide selection of data and statistics on renewable energy power technologies from a variety of sources (e.g. EIA, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratory, EPRI and AWEA). In 2006, NREL published the 4th edition, presenting market and performance data for over a dozen technologies from publications from 1997 - 2004. The technologies covered are: biomass, geothermal, concentrating solar power (CSP), wind, hydro, solar buildings, reciprocating engines, microturbines, fuel cells, batteries, advanced energy storage, and super conducting power technology. Depending on the technology, data may go as far back as 1980 and projections may go as far into the future as 2020.
