Utah FORGE 8-3617: Integrating Tracer Huff-Puff Tests and Geomechanical Analysis to Measure Evolution of the Fracture Network in EGS Reservoirs - 2026 Workshop Presentation
This is a presentation on Integrating Tracer Huff-Puff Tests and Geomechanical Analysis to Measure Evolution of the Fracture Network in EGS Reservoirs by California State University Long Beach, presented by Prof. Matthew Becker. The project is evaluating huff-puff tracer testing, fiber-optic monitoring, and geomechanical analysis to characterize fracture networks and estimate heat-exchange area within the Utah FORGE Enhanced Geothermal System reservoir. This presentation was featured at the Utah FORGE R&D Annual Workshop, held September 30-October 1, 2026. The workshop offered a valuable opportunity to review the progress of Research and Development projects funded under Solicitation 2022-2, which aim to improve our understanding of the key factors influencing Enhanced Geothermal System (EGS) reservoir and resource development.
